Dr Arunachalam N. started the unit in 1988. He performed cardiac surgeries for CAD, valvular heart diseases, adult and paediatric straightforward congenital diseases.
Dr Arunachalam has keen interest in lung surgery for cancer and other operable lung diseases; Oesaphageal surgery for cancer and VATS procedures.
Dr Arunachalam did his FRCS (Edin) in 1984. He received his training in a hospital in and St Vincent’ s Hospital under late Dr Victor Chang in Sydney, Australia.
Dr Arunachalam is a member of Academy of Medicine of Malaysia; fellow of National Heart Association of Malaysia; member of Malaysian Association of Cardiovascular Surgery and Thoracic Society of Malaysia.
