Koç University School of Medicine started admissions in September 2010. contribute to qualified human capital in healthcare sector and to serve society in a caring environment at international standards, Koç University Hospital became operational in October 2014 as the research and training Hospital of Koç University.

In July 2018, we started offering healthcare services at Bodrum American Hospital. The healthcare team trusted by residents of Bodrum for over 20 years has now been reinforced with high quality standards and experienced medical and administrative staff

The Vehbi Koç Foundation, a charitable foundation affiliated with Turkey’s largest Fortune 500 company, Koç Holding, was established in 1969 by Vehbi Koç, founder of the Koç Group. Over the years, the foundation has focused on addressing the fundamental needs of education, health, and culture in contemporary Turkey. Its initiatives have encompassed a wide range of charitable causes, including the establishment of world-class hospitals, museums showcasing Turkish culture, and prestigious academic institutions. One notable endeavor is the VKV Nursing Fund, launched in 1974 to address challenges in the nursing profession and foster long-term solutions. Additionally, the foundation has supported various healthcare projects, such as the Ankara University Faculty of Medicine Vehbi Koç Eye Hospital and the Haydarpaşa Numune Education and Research Hospital Vehbi Koç Emergency Medical Center. Notably, the American Hospital, supported by the foundation for many years, was incorporated into its operations in 1995, combining decades of expertise with cutting-edge technology to deliver quality-focused healthcare services across medical and surgical disciplines. Another significant project is Koç University, which has rapidly become one of Turkey’s leading universities, including the establishment of the Koç University Hospital in 2014 as a research and training facility. In 2018, healthcare services were expanded to include Bodrum American Hospital, enhancing the quality of care with experienced medical and administrative staff and innovative technologies. The foundation remains committed to its mission of promoting education, health, and culture, contributing to the advancement of Turkey’s society in alignment with international standards.
