The Guangzhou Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine is a tertiary-level hospital that combines traditional Chinese and western medicine. It serves as a standardized training base for traditional Chinese medicine residents and a clinical pharmacist training base for the Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Additionally, it is a Chinese chest pain center, a national advanced stroke center, and CAR T-Cell therapy center. The hospital is affiliated with Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Southern Medical University Teaching Hospital, Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Macau University. This hospital is among the very few hospitals that have initiated CAR-T Cell therapy trials in China.

In the year 2022, the number of outpatient visits exceeded 1.255 million, while the number of hospitalizations exceeded 36,000. This achievement positions Huadu District as the leading contributor to the 120 network traffic volumes in the district for several consecutive years. The Guangzhou Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital Medical Group was established under the auspices of the Huadu District Government.
This group comprises three town health clinics, namely Timian, Chini, and Tanbu, as well as four community service centers, namely Xinhua, Xiuquan, Xinjie, and Huacheng. The 2021 national performance assessment results of tertiary public hospitals, which were released on September 30, 2022, revealed that the national monitoring indicator level received a grade of A once more. The construction units encompass various key traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) specialties in Guangdong Province, such as orthopedics, encephalology, nephrology, rehabilitation, and clinical pharmacy. In Guangzhou, orthopedics and traumatology are considered high-level key TCM specialties, while rehabilitation and encephalology are recognized as characteristic TCM specialties in the city. The Center for Preventing Diseases serves as the Guangzhou Collaborative Guidance Center for Preventing Diseases, integrating traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine.
The Guangdong Provincial Medical Institutions Performance Level Evaluation of Traditional Chinese Medicine for Preventing Diseases awarded it a AAAA rating in May 2023.
