He was the president of numerous International ENT Conferences, namely the President Fulbright Alumni Association of Malaysia, President Medico-legal Society Malaysia and Chairman and Board Member of Malaysian American Commission for Educational Exchange.
He was also a Fulbright Scholar in 1997 in Rhinology at University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre, USA and was conferred Fellow of Academy of Medicine Malaysia and Academy of Science Malaysia in 2000 and 2016. Published over 100 clinical research papers, edited 5 books and 7 book chapters and over 400 citations.
