Wani bincike na baya-bayan nan da aka buga a cikin Jaridar Turai na Clinical Nutrition ya nuna cewa cin abinci na iya taka muhimmiyar rawa wajen hana ciwon daji na pancreatic. Binciken ya bincika alaƙar da ke tsakanin haɗarin ciwon daji na pancreatic da kuma cin wasu abubuwan gina jiki da ke cikin metabolism na methyl.
Zhang Jianjun, MD, masanin farfesa a fannin ilimin cututtuka a Makarantar Kiwon Lafiyar Jama'a ta Jami'ar Indiana Fairbanks kuma babban marubucin binciken, ya ce: "Methylation yana da mahimmanci ga haɗin DNA da methylation." Koyaya, Cibiyar Ciwon daji ta Amurka (AICR) ta ba da shawarar cewa ku sami abubuwan gina jiki da kuke buƙata daga abinci kuma baya ba da shawarar amfani da kari don hana ciwon daji.
