The technology developed by JBS to separate cancer-derived DNA in urine, as well as a special PCR detection method, can more accurately and sensitively detect circulating tumor DNA biomarkers for liver cancer. In a blind pre-validation study, the company stated that if serum AFP is added, the sensitivity of the method will increase to 89%.
JBS sagde, at det har samarbejdet med James Hamilton fra Johns Hopkins University Medical Center og Hie-Won Hann fra Thomas University Hospital for at fremme udviklingen af leverkræft urintest.
