ዶ/ር ኤድዊን ፒ. አሊያ የስቴም ሴል ወይም የአጥንት መቅኒ ንቅለ ተከላ ለማድረግ የሚያስቡ የደም ካንሰር በሽተኞችን በማከም ላይ ያተኮረ ነው። ባለፉት 20 ዓመታት ውስጥ በችግኝ ተከላ ላይ ከፍተኛ እድገቶች ታይተዋል ይህም የተሻለ ውጤት አስገኝቷል። እነዚህ እድገቶች በበሽተኞች ላይ ያለውን መርዛማነት ለመቀነስ ዝቅተኛ የኬሞቴራፒ መጠኖችን የመጠቀም አቅምን እና የማገገም እድልን ለመቀነስ የሚረዱ ዘዴዎችን ያካትታሉ። ለደም አደገኛ በሽታዎች ስቴም ሴል ትራንስፕላንት ተከትሎ ውጤቶችን ለማሻሻል አዳዲስ መድሃኒቶችን እና ቴክኒኮችን ለመጠቀም ፍላጎት አለኝ። ከታካሚዎች ጋር የሕክምና ግቦቻቸውን እና የተሻለውን የተግባር መንገድ ለመወሰን ከታካሚዎች ጋር መተባበር በጣም አስፈላጊ ነው. ከተተከሉ በኋላ ለብዙ አመታት ከህመምተኞች እና ከቤተሰቦቻቸው ጋር መስራት እወዳለሁ።
